Aunque los que vivimos en la tradici'on Wicca, siendo paganos celebramos el cierre de a~no con el tercer celebration de cosecha, Samhain, donde despedimos al Dios que muere en las tinieblas y cerramos el ciclo de la rueda del a~no, sabemos muy bien que nos envolvemos alrededor del calendario cristiano, por lo tanto la noche del 31 de diciembre es una etapa de cierre de ciclos para todos, y la energ'ia que la humanidad genera en todos los pa'ises, razas, culturas y tradiciones alrededor de esta gran fiesta es muy fuerte y podemos utilizarla para hacer grandes y magn'ificos cambios.
Adem'as, la energ'ia que genera este cambio de ciclo en s'i(el cerrar y abrir, por as'i decirlo), con la ayuda de esta luna menguante, que estar'a presente, ayuda mucho a SOLTAR, DESPRENDERSE, A CAMBIAR Y DEJAR ATR`AS...Es momento de trabajar mucho con el desapego.
No se trata de abrir un circulo como el d'ia de un Sabbat o de un Esbat, se trata de unirnos a la fiesta y como buenos brujos y brujas que somos, utilizar rituales para la llegada de la tranquilidad, el amor y la abundancia el pr'oximo a~no.

Que en tu mesa no falten velas rojas con chispas doradas, que pueden ser aplicadas con diamantina, escarcha met'alica de color dorado...EL rojo potencializar'a la prosperidad del color dorado, adem'as de la luz y armon'ia que el color del sol trae. Las lentejas son invitadas muy especiales en esta noche, pues en Europa Y Am'erica se utilizan tradicionalmente en la cena de esta noche para atraer el DINERO... tambi'en se acostumbra ponerlas en la entrada de la puerta y barrer hacia "adentro" ya sea lentejas o monedas de color dorado.
