Eastern Level Christianity is smart - I recognise - to exact that priests be wedded (in a roundabout way fathers: patriarchs) or extremely monks; and to like its Bishops (who are the teachers) from in the company of the monks.
These are, I run, the fit aspirational forms of life for men.
(Recognizing that, of course, that many - upper limit - cannot generate that to which they want.)
(The throw of earthly, non-monastic celibacy (e.g. the possible priests' of the Roman Catholic church, upper limit of the priests) is wholesomely liable for a "few" men, but is not - it seems to me - a basic form of man's life.)
A worldy, hard, practical Christian man - upper limit men - necessity imagine to be a father; or extremely he necessity put off celibately and morally in the company of other men as a priest (a very few of whom are skilled with the vocation for isolation).
And it is in the company of monks that the enhanced learning is mainly pursued; monasteries for instance the fit centre and leaders of learning (instead of universities).
That, so, is the ideal: in this world now, many men can become neither patriarchs (the direct path) nor monks (for live in few with a detail vocation) - so the one depends on a real spouse and the other on real monasteries.
