Corn Silk Tea Cover
You can just imagine the first people coming across corn silk and thinking, this is so gorgeous, surely it must have a use. Indeed, corn silk is a useful herb and should not be thrown away. Corn silk is something that has often been overlooked. It is a kind friend to both elders and children.

HERE'S WHY:

* Corn silk is a diuretic that helps condition the bladder and reduce bedwetting.
* It is particularly helpful to seniors because it helps diminish build-up of solids that restrict the flow of urine.
* Corn silk helps to heal numerous ailments and malfunctions of the bladder including inflammation that also affects the kidneys and urethra.
* Corn silk is used as a folk cure for high blood pressure, to lower cholesterol, and to treat arteriosclerosis.

HOW TO MAKE IT:

* Shuck two ears of corn
* You'll probably want to save the shucks for projects such as "corn dollies," and the corn itself for eating.
* Bring two cups of water to simmer.
* Add corn silk.
* Cover and reduce heat to medium, and infuse for ten minutes.
* Strain and drink.

You can follow this same procedure to make a hair conditioner. Instead of drinking it, let it cool and use it as a final rinse to soften the hair.
